In fact, all too many of these online affiliate programs are downright scams! Most others are honest, but poorly conceived, or badly maintained by their management team. But there are a few excellent opportunities out there.

5) Develop your opt-in Email list or newsletter. Write reviews and recommendations and publish them in your newsletter.

6) Use your Web site to provide useful content, advice and testimonials about your online affiliate programs. Use text links within your content to link directly to the affiliate product.

7) Look for affiliate programs that pay well (at least 20% commission). Some successful online affiliate programs offer two-tier (or more) payment plans, allowing you to collect a percentage of the sales by those that you sign up as affiliates, and by their affiliates, and so on ...
